Hey I just wanted to notify everybody about the BYOC Gamers for Giving 2009 LAN event located at Ypsilanti, Michigan which is ran by the Gamers Outreach Foundation(GOF). The Gamers Outreach Foundation(founded by Zach "sayper" Wigal) is a non-profit charity organization that strives to better the world solely through gaming and E-sports, as all proceedings and entry fees to the Gamers for Giving 2009 LAN event will be donated to charities for oversea troops, underprivileged schools, children's hospitals, and more. The Gamers for Giving 2009 LAN event will be held February 27th to March 1st. The games available are Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike: Source, Halo 3, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Trackmania and more. Also the Gamers for Giving 2009 LAN event will host raffle events and challenges and to top it all off the entire event will be broad casted live over the Gamers Outreach Foundation website. Altogether it looks like a very promising LAN event for those of you in Michigan and it is being organized for a very good cause so I believe everybody should attend if given the chance. http://www.gamersoutreach.org (The Gamers Outreach Foundation Website) http://gamersoutreach.org/gamers-giving (Gamers for Giving 2009 LAN event information) http://www.gamersoutreach.org/contribute (Donations are highly appreciated!) http://www.steamcommunity.com/groups/gamersoutreach (Steam community page, everybody is welcome!) #GamersOutreach @ GameSurge (IRC channel)

I like seeing this giving back stuff... let's you know there are at least a few people who think outside themselves in the usually self-centered gaming community =)

Just a week left until Gamers for Giving 2009 everyone! The entire event will be covered by Fox 2 News Detroit and by GOF staff members for a live web stream over the GOF website(http://www.gamersoutreach.org). Come show your support, even if you arn't in Michigan by helping spread the word so we may someday go global! #GamersOutreach @ GameSurge
