You'll learn to think through what to do in situations with more experience.

I think the best way to get better is develop your shot through Deathmatching (like Kai said) and then get involved with scrimming/finding a team that will stick by you. Counter Strike is ultimately about team play, so develop your team-playing skills alongside your individual skills. Pubs are alright if not played in excess; they help create random situations to help you handle anything, but you're only as good as the people you play against.

evN you're only as good as the people you play against. To add to that, when you are looking for a team to play with, look for teams that are around your skill level. Teams are only as good as the worst player and how hard they work.

theres a correct way to deathmatch, if you just run around and do jack shit it will create alot of bad habits, and at the end you wont get any better.watch your self play, like after a match or esea pug watch the demo and see the mistakes you made.then fix the mistakes.

Find a team and stick with them for a while. The best thing to do is to attend as many LANs as possible. LANs are where the real competition is.
Definitely and also try to find a LAN center near your area and go there whenever you can.

Just keep playing. Watch demos of pros, deathmatch, get yourself on a solid team.

Here you can take part in many live matches which are happening all the time, this really helped me to move from mid to a high level player. Deathmatches are great as well if you are looking to improve aim, but nothing can compare to a true scrim experience so i suggest SCRIM SCRIM AND GUESS WHAT? SCRIM

Well when it comes to actially getting better there is no easy way, Cheating the time is cheating yourself. There really is one true way to become better that is practise, for example I would spend 100 hours a week practising, If I was not scrimming with my team; I would scrim with pugs, other teams, or do a 10 man this gave me fast growing experience but I spent all my time playing counter-strike and if I was not playing I would be studing the game I would watch live events, then watch them again to review everything, after I would finish a league match or a scrim I would also go back and review the HLTV, SourceTV, and my own demos to see what needed to improve on myself and my team. If I got a chance to have a break, guess what would I do, I would play aim maps and deathmatch games. DM servers improve reaction while Aim maps improve accuracy, I would also run dry runs with myself to improve myself. But all that practise payed off igot to travel the United States playing in LAN events, and even was going into the CGS but that fell apart. So really all I can say is time and practise.
