INSIDER ESPORTS - Blizzard announces their Blizzcon 2009 event.

On August 21st-22nd, thousands of people will flock to Anaheim Convention Center located in Anaheim, California to partake in the celebration of of the global player communities surrounding Blizzard Enterainments globally famed franchises Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. Due to the increased popularity of each of these franchises, this year's event will be expanded from three convention halls to four.

So far attendees will be able to enjoy:

    * Hands-on play time with upcoming Blizzard Entertainment games
    * Discussion panels with Blizzard Entertainment developers
    * Competitive and casual tournaments for players to showcase their talents
    * Community contests with great prizes
    * Commemorative merchandise based on Blizzard Entertainment's game universes
    * A silent auction
    * More exciting activities and attractions to be announced

Most importantly to many will without a doubt be the competitive tournaments, where players will not only showcase their talent, but to compete for a large cash prizes, over 200,000 USD. No announcements have been to confirm prizes per event, however, we will continue to keep you posted.
