GEARS OF WAR FORUMS - Mark Rein of Epic Games has finally answered the call of many fans with a New Year post as well as a status report on GoW2's upcoming patch.

Tired of people glitching constantly in Gears of War 2 matches? Tired of the shotgun just plain acting weird? Well it seems that Epic has been keeping tabs on forum visitors and comments. Just recently Mark Rein greeted forum-goers with a message that they've "been working on a major title update for Gears of War 2." Among the fixes will be upon numerous glitches and exploits as well as a number of new achievements to add value to the newest Combustible Map Pack released late last year.

Another addition announced by Mark will be the inclusion of numbers tracking achievements in the War Journal, that way you're not guessing how many kills you are away from 100,000 of all things. Still a rather early report, the patch doesn't "have an exact date for it but all indicators are it will go live within January" Until then, we can begin dreaming about the ability to play Gears of War 2 with less abuse on the game and finally have more fun!
