StarCraft Head of Coverage

myEG.net - Evil Geniuses have made it official, signing two of the biggest names in StarCraft 2 to their organization.
After several days of rampant speculation, the EG organization has made the announcement official - they are adding Greg "IdrA" Fields and Nick "Tasteless" Plott to their StarCraft 2 division ranks. The speculation first began early Saturday morning when Tasteless mentioned that Idra was an EG player during the GOMTV Global StarCraft 2 League broadcast. An interview with Idra by French multi-gaming organization Against All Authority seemed to confirm the rumor to be true, while today's announcement by EG makes it official.
Idra, arguably the best SC2 player in the world right now, had a highly successful StarCraft: Brood War career, playing with Korean pro teams eSTRO and CJ Entus since 2008. He placed highly in many foreign tournaments, but made the switch almost completely to StarCraft 2 when beta launched. He has performed well in several large tournaments already, including winning Day[9]'s Razer King of the Beta, and placing second at ESL's IEM Gamescom event in Cologne. He is currently through to the Round of 32 in the GOMTV Global StarCraft 2 League.
Tasteless will be joining the team as the new SC2 division manager. Tasteless, a world renowned commentator, has casted almost every large event in the StarCraft: Brood War scene, from WCG to Blizzcon and many things in between, and continued carrying the commentator mantle into StarCraft 2, currently casting the GOMTV Global StarCraft 2 League with Artosis. In addition to his responsibilities as assisting Lucas "Colbi" Bigham as division manager, Tasteless will also be responsible for helping to grow the EG brand in Asia.
Scott "SirScoots" Smith, Managing Director of EG:
"Today, we welcome two Starcraft legends to EG.SC2 and bolster a division which already featured a strong foundation of talented players. When it comes to non-Korean Starcraft, there are no bigger names in competition and broadcasting than IdrA and Tasteless. Our goal is to have the world’s best Starcraft II team, and we’ve made a large step in pursuit of that goal today.”
