CEVO.com - San Jose, Calif., December 17, 2008 – iGames announced today the Alienware Winter Frag Fest, a Counter-Strike: Source tournament sponsored by Alienware, Dell’s premier high-performance PC gaming brand. The tournament will kick-off the 2009 season of the Gamers Tour, a leading program of eSports tournaments managed by iGames in partnership with CEVO.

This tournament is scheduled to run from Jan 17 through the 24. Up to 160 teams will be eligible to compete in a single elimination tournament until only 5 remaining teams are left. Those 5 remaining teams will then move on to the championships held on the 24^th of Jan where they will battle it out in a double elimination style playoff. The top three finalists from last summer’s Alienware PC Gaming Season Open tournament will also compete in the playoff bracket making it 8 teams in total. All the matches will be played on Cevo’s Match Network (CMN) client. Each player on the winning team of the tournament will win an Area-51® X-58 gaming rig which is one of the latest lines of desktop from Alienware. The runners up will receive Alienware Gear Shop prizes.
