After being unable to find a solid starting five, H2K-Gaming disbands their Counter Strike lineup and picks up a much younger team, Begrip.
H2K-Gaming, a team known for their strong presence in the European CoD scene, is rumored to have pulled the plug on their CS team following a year of near constant roster changes and poor results domestically and internationally.
The only bright spot the team had while with the organization was their second place finish at WCG Sweden, beating out every other team to qualify for the biggest event of the year.
However, almost immediately after the event, two of their young stars, Johan 'face' Klasson and Frej 'kHRYSTAL' Sjöström, both leaving their team to join the likes of SK-gaming, one of the most prestigious organizations in CS history. Since then they have almost a completely different roster, with one of the only original members of the team leaving to join the recently revived MYM.
Rakaka.se reports that that may be one of the reasons for the change, despite their strong core of veterans in Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed, Mattias "Snajdan" Andersen and Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund, the fact that the team has had a hard time finding a final two says alot of about the current situation for the team.
Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed told his website, spawnblog.com, that:
Manager of H2K-gaming Rudy van der Reest, of h2k-gaming.eu, added to that, saying he:
Only moments later they announced that they have acquired one of the EPS Nordic competitors Begrip Gaming, which featured a former H2K player Samuel "Zyppe" Martinsson as well as the players of the former coldfrag.
Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed will stay on to give the team advice as coach, being one of the few coaches in Professional CS.
New player Andre "BARBARR" Möller told H2k-gaming.eu that:
Legend Abdisamad “SpawN” mohamed added:
H2K had:
Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed
Mattias "Snajdan" Andersen
Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund
H2K now has:
Andre "BARBARR" Möller
Danny "pop" Oldenburg
Markus "pronax" Wallstenen
Richard "Xizt" Landström
Samuel "Zyppe" Martinsson
